Third generation Motorola Moto G: The upgraded dream

A few days ago, Flipkart made a slip by putting Moto-G 3rd gen on sale. Though they later covered it through ways and means, it was certainly a secret message for all the tech-nerds out there.
The autumn of 2015 has thrown in a pleasant surprise for the Indian Geeks. Motorola, a company that has risen, fallen and then risen again to its success has endorsed its brand new invention: Moto-G 3rd generation at an unbelievable rate.

Motorola was a company widely popular in its old times. From shopkeepers to their customers, if they needed a decent phone, they needed Motorola. With the company's blooming success and the raising desire in accordance with demand in the markets, it was at its peak. After some time, with apple, Samsung and HTC coming in to dominate the markets, Motorola was left somewhere in a corner, forgotten of as an old song, pleasant only in the old times.

Moto reincarnation:

But the launch of super affordable Moto series (Moto E,G and X) has been like an accolade for the company. Pushing aside all the ridiculously expensive mobile phones, Moto-G has been standing in the spotlight ever since it was released. Affordable and classy, it was a dream come true. And now, the dreams have been updated.

The Moto G 3rd generation which was launched on 28th July, 2015, comes in two ROM and RAM variants. The 8 GB storage device has one gigabyte of RAM and the one with 16 GB storage has 2 GB of memory. However, both variants support expandable memory up to 32 gigabytes, which means that storage won't be an issue, as it was with the first generation Moto G and both Moto X devices (Moto X first gen and second gen).

Under the hood:

Apart, from memories, the beast holds Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) Processor with 1.4 GHz Quad Core CPU, Adreno 306 with 400 MHz GPU which is almost a bona fide that the device will have tons of custom ROMs.

Motorola is not known for the camera quality. Apart from first generation Moto X, the camera quotient of the other Moto devices hasn't been up to the mark. So, holding high hopes with the camera of Moto G third generation would be more or less cheating yourself. The Moto G third generation has a 13 megapixel primary camera and a 5 megapixel front snapper.

It comes with Android Lollipop(5.1.1) out of the box and if you are someone who always get an adrenaline rush seeing the OTA updates, get this or a Moto series phone right away. The battery will still be a disappointment, we guess. The device sports a 2470 mAh battery, which will be slightly insufficient in handling the animations that are mounted on Android Lollipop.

The phone is supposed to be water-resistant and will have dual sim standby with 4G bands enabled. The device has a 5 inch 720p display, protected by Corning Gorilla glass 3.

Still not convinced?

If you are still not convinced on buying the new Moto G, here is the deal maker for you. The Moto G third generation has the Active display and Moto assist. The luxuries that until now, only Moto X users had.

Conclusion:

The Moto G third generation is more than capable of taking any high end device. To prove our point, we would like you to have a look at the specifications of Moto X 2nd generation. The Moto G 3 is almost as good as Moto X 2 in about half the price. If you are still a die hard Moto X fan, there are rumors of a new Moto X too. The Moto X (3rd gen) is said to have a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 21 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front snapper, and a 3,600 mAh battery. It will have a microSD card slot, and there will be a model with dual-SIM functionality too. It will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop from day one. If you got any Moto experiences, we would love to hear them. Here is a comparison of the latest Moto G to the previous one:
