Google Chrome certainly is the king of browsers. The minimal design it sports, the fluid and brisk support to JavaScript, the cloud backup of form data and credentials and the cross platform availability all add to its unparalleled legacy.


Google Chrome undoubtedly is the Chuck Norris of the browsers. But, the reason you are still holding up to this article is not to know the features of Google Chrome. You probably know them better. The reason behind this article is a recent update that Google rolled out to Chrome for Android Lollipop platform.

Half the world almost freaked out to learn that the tabs were merged in to the recent apps panel. Some liked it and some did not. It is moreover a matter of preference. But, for people out there who didn't like it, here is how you can get them back in four easy steps.

How do I get my tabs back?

1. Open Google Chrome on your Android device and go to settings by accessing the three dots menu on the top-right side, near the address bar.

2. Once you are on the settings page, under the Basics header will be an option of Merge tabs and apps

3. The Merge tabs and apps would be enabled by default. You need to toggle it to off.

4. A pop-up would appear saying 'Separate tabs and apps', click OK.

5. The Google chrome application would now restart and you will have your tabs back.
