The war between the smartphone manufacturing companies has taken a form beyond imagination. Smartphone manufacturers have taken the blend of their legacy and the advancements in the technology to an entire new level. The manufacturers that once used to be competitors have now transformed in to cults. When we talk about cults in technology, there is nothing more exciting than the battle of Android and iOS. We have written a detailed description on the differences between Android and iOS, you may check them here.
There are pros and cons to both Android and iOS. There are a ton of features on our iPhone that we wished existed on our lovely Android too. Okay, we know by stating the previous statement we might have hurt a bunch of Android users, but there is something about iPhones, that makes it irresistible to switch back to Android. However, this is just a personal opinion, your perspective on this can be contradicting and yet right.
That being said, there are a ton of features on our Droid machines that we wish were packed into our iPhones. (Look at those Android fans' sarcastic smile). One such feature or facility, that I badly want on my iPhone is to access the file system. It is really a pain in the neck, back and other parts of the body to sync the entire device for just putting in a single video file. If you are in to Zen meditation and your years of practice has made you patient to such a level that syncing the iDevice doesn't make you angry, converting the video to iPhone/iPad/iPod friendly format would definitely irritate you.
So, today let us show you an awesome way to transfer and play any video format on your iPhone.

Requirements:
You would need
- An iDevice (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch)
- A Windows or Mac computer.
- iTunes 9.2+ (However, we recommend you to have the latest version of iTunes)
- An application on your iDevice called YX Player. You can search for YXPlayer at the App Store. It has a free version and a pro version. We will be using the pro version for the demonstration.
How to transfer & play MKV & AVI Files:
- Install YX Player on your iPhone/iPod/iPad
- Connect your iPhone/iPod/iPad to your Mac or Windows machine
- Open iTunes on your Mac or Windows machine
- Select the connected device in the iTunes
- Navigate to Apps, from the left side panel.
- On the right panel, scroll down until you see File Sharing section.
- Click on YXPlayer, you will see a structure like this
- Drag & drop a file of your choice to the root directory of YXPlayer. iTunes would start copying the file.
- Once, the file gets copied, the structure of the app would look like the below image.
- Hit on Sync. Once the syncing completes, open up YX Player on your iPhone and you would see the video file in the right panel of the main screen.

In the fall of 1976, Steve jobs along with Steve Wozniak led to the foundation of a small firm named Apple. Apple was initially a computer manufacturing company and was making a fair trade but what gave apple a really distinctive identity was the introduction of portable hardware like iPhones and iPods followed by the revolutionary iPads. The entire innovation thing of Apple Inc. started with the iPhones which totally turned the smartphone family upside down. Since then Apple has never looked back. All of the portable iDevices that gave Apple a bed of roses use the apple's own operating system- iOSApple iPhones with iOS maintained a monopoly in the smartphone race for decades until 2007 when Google purchased a small project which was a powerful Linux based open source operating system to be used in handheld devices like cell phones and tablets. Google named it Android which later proved to be a great deal of success.
Android was readily accepted and hugely appreciated resulting in the extensive sale rates of Android powered cell phones. On the contrary apple iOS rather of being efficient was still beyond the common run of people.

A few days ago, Flipkart made a slip by putting Moto-G 3rd gen on sale. Though they later covered it through ways and means, it was certainly a secret message for all the tech-nerds out there.

Rockstar games showed some PC love by launching GTA V for Windows. The much awaited third person free roam game, grand theft auto V or GTA V was unveiled for the personal computers on March 24, 2015. Although, majority of the GTA fans who happen to own Xbox One or PS4 had finished the game by then, the Windows users were happy that they will get to have something good to kill their time at. But, little did they know, the game had certain critical issues.

Have you ever wondered that how could you get past the pattern lock of your friend's android device? Do you find it difficult memorizing the complex pattern lock on someone's android phone or tablet?Do you want to spy someone but android patterns are pushing down the Sherlock in you? Do you feel dumb to ask your friends to draw the security pattern every time you want to use their android? Well, if the answer to the any or all above questions is yes, don't feel dumb anymore, as we will make you feel dumber when we tell you how easy it is to get past the android pattern.
What makes pattern lock so difficult to get through?
Android pattern locks or any pattern locks, for that matter can be difficult to crack. Remembering the patterns can be even more difficult or confusing, to say the least. But, that doesn't answer our question. Does it? The secret in their being confusing and difficult lies in upper elementary mathematics. When we make a pattern, we have 9 points to choose from. Similarly, the second point has 8 options, the third point has 7 and so on. This makes an average or below average pattern which has 5 points, to bear 15,120 permutations (9*8*7*6*5). This number increases as the complexity and the points involved increase. If we are talking about a pattern with say, 7 points. There can be 181,440 ways to draw a pattern. So, if you are still reluctant to break in and feeling lucky with numbers, we urge you to try your chances. However, trust us, it will take ages to try 15,120 possibilities. By the way, we are just talking about best case scenario. Did you consider. what if the target android device's pattern consists of more than 5 points?
If you are still not convinced, good luck to your code breaking. May the Math force be with you. But, if your friend feels uncomfortable to let you have his phone for years, here is how you do it.
What you need?
1. A rooted android phone running Android Kitkat (4.4.x) or less. This trick won't work on Android Lollipop(5.x).
2. ES file explorer or any root browser to be installed on your target device.
3. A trusting friend or a manipulative brain over your shoulders to fetch you access of the target device for once. Although, it seems difficult, but it is not. You may ask your friend to let him make a call, or to check your mail. He or she will have to unlock the device for that. right?
If it still doesn't work, some emotional drama won't hurt. Pull your actor card now!
Gizmodrool to the rescue
So, here is how you do it.
1. Open ES explorer or root explorer. I will be using root browser for the tutorial. Make sure that you have granted the root permissions to the app you are using.
5. You may or may not see a pattern lock now. If you see one, you can open it with any pattern.
Try it to prank your friends but, please don't mean them harm. We would love to hear your android pattern breaking stories. Do let us know in the comment box. Way to go, Mr hacker!
